For this tutorial you will need:

I AM USING GRADIENTS FROM  NANSON'S  THANK YOU

THIS TUTORIAL WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE SOME DIVIDERS FOR YOUR WEB PAGE

OPEN PSP 8 OR 9

GO TO FILE - NEW TYPE IN 400 X 50 - TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND 

CLICK ON YOUR PRESET SHAPES ICON SET IT UP AS BELOW -  SELECT RECTANGLE SHAPE  - CLICK ON YOUR DROP DOWN MENU UNDER JOIN AND CHOSE THE CENTRE ONE

I USED A GRADIENT BUT YOU CAN USE COLOURS OR PATTERNS

DRAW A RECTANGLE SHAPE ON YOUR WORK SPACE

GO TO SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - BACK TO SELECTIONS - SELECTIONS FLOAT

GO TO EFFECTS - 3 D EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL - APPLY BELOW SETTINGS

GO TO SELECTIONS - SELECTION NONE

THIS ONE BELOW WAS MADE BY CHANGING THE LINE STYLE TO Opposing arrow heads 01 AND USING A COLOUR AND A GRADIENT

 

YOU CAN ALSO MAKE UP DIVIDERS USING DINGBAT FONTS

 OPEN A NEW IMAGE 400 X 50

CHOSE YOUR COLOUR, GRADIENT OR PATTERN

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A DINGBAT FONT  FROM HERE  

Download to your Fonts Folder

 

 CLICK ON YOUR TEXT ICON AND TYPE IN THE LETTER OF YOUR CHOICE

GO TO EFFECTS - 3 D EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL - I USED BELOW SETTING BUT IT IS YOUR CHOICE

SELECTIONS - SELECTIONS NONE

NOW NEED TO KEEP OUR DIVIDERS TRANSPARENT - WE CAN DO THIS BY GONG TO EDIT - COPY

OPEN ANIMATION SHOP AND GO TO EDIT - PASTE AS NEW ANIMATION AND SAVE AS GIF

OR IN PSP 8 CLICK ON YOUR ICON AND SAVE AS GIF
