Borders

For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 8, 9 or X
The following image. Right click and save to a Folder of your choice

OPEN PSP 8 or 9

 GO TO BROWSE   AND FIND YOUR IMAGE

DOUBLE CLICK TO OPEN IT

NOW WITH YOUR IMAGE ACTIVE GO TO IMAGE - ADD BORDER

TYPE IN BELOW SETTINGS AND CLICK OK

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE NOW

SELECT YOUR MAGIC WAND ICON AND USE BELOW SETTINGS

 

SELECT YOUR BORDER - YOU WILL NOW HAVE THE MARCHING ANTS AROUND IT

SELECT THE FLOODFILL TOOL

AND THEN MOVE OVER TO THE MATERIALS PALETTE

THE  EYEDROPPER WILL APPEAR OVER YOUR FOREGROUND BOX

CLICK IN THE BOX AS SHOWN BELOW

 

IT WILL OPEN THIS BOX

SELECT PATTERN  AND THEN CHOOSE A PATTERN FILL

 USE YOUR FLOOD FILL TOOL  AND FILL WITH YOUR CHOICE BY CLICKING INSIDE THE DOTTED LINES

WHILE WE HAVE THE MARCHING ANTS AROUND THE IMAGE YOU CAN NOW APPLY AN INNER BEVEL,

GO TO EFFECTS - 3D - INNER BEVEL.  

PLAY AROUND WITH YOUR SETTINGS UNTIL YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR RESULT OR YOU CAN LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS

NOW GO TO SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE

GO TO FILE - SAVE AS
