Background Eraser

For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 8 or 9
RIGHT CLICK THE AND SAVE THE ONE BELOW TO A FOLDER OF YOUR CHOICE

MY SHOTS ARE MINIMISED FOR LOADING PURPOSES

OPEN PSP 8 OR PSP 9 OPEN THE IMAGE

IF IT OPENS AS A BACKGROUND LAYER ,  WITH YOUR LAYER PALETTE ACTIVE GO TO LAYERS  - PROMOTE BACKGROUND TO LAYER

YOUR UNDO ICON WILL BE ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITES FOR THIS TUTORIAL

CLICK ON YOUR ERASER ICON AND CLICK BACK GROUND ERASER

BELOW IS HOW I SET MINE UP

BRUSH SIZE - 40

CLICK YOUR ZOOM ICON AND CLICK ON YOUR IMAGE TWICE GIVING YOU A BETTER VIEW OF WHAT YOU ARE ERASING - I SET MINE AT 200

START BY GENTLY LEFT CLICKING AROUND THE BACK GROUND OF YOUR BALLOON , IF YOU REMOVE A BIT BY MISTAKE JUST CLICK YOUR UNDO ICON AND THE BIT YOU ERASED WILL BE BACK IN PLACE

 THIS WILL TAKE A BIT PRACTICE BUT WELL WORTH IT ESPECIALY FOR OUR TUBE LOVERS

THE CIRCLE YOU SEE (ABOVE) WITH THE BRUSH TIP INSIDE IS A GUIDE FOR YOU , WHEN YOU CLICK WITH YOUR MOUSE , WHAT IS IN THE CIRCLE WILL BE ERASED

FOR THE AREA BELOW  AND ANY STRAY PIXELS AROUND I CHANGED MY BRUSH TO SIZE 10 USE YOUR ZOOM ICON TO SEE THEM BETTER

ONCE YOU HAVE JUST THE BALLOON LEFT - ON YOUR LAYER PALETTE - GO TO LAYERS NEW RASTER LAYER - FILL IT WITH ANY COLOUR YOU WISH - I USED A LIGHT BLUE

NOW GO TO LAYERS ARRANGE - SEND TO BOTTOM

WITH YOUR TOP LAYER ACTIVE GO TO

SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - SELECTIONS - FLOAT

SELECTIONS - DE FLOAT

SELECTIONS - MODIFY - REMOVE SPECS AND HOLES

ABOVE IS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE NOW - WITH YOUR TOP LAYER STILL THE ACTIVE ONE GO TO EDIT - COPY

THEN EDIT PASTE - AS NEW IMAGE

 

YOU NOW HAVE THE CHOICE TO SAVE YOUR IMAGE OR EXPORT IT AS A TUBE
